As a Tool & Die Maker, you are fabricating and repairing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in accordance with company manufacturing procedures and safety policies. You are utilizing machining equipment, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to produce precision tooling that supports manufacturing operations. You are collaborating with production and engineering teams to develop prototype components, improve tooling capabilities, and ensure manufacturing processes remain safe, efficient, and reliable.
As a Tool & Die Maker, you are being responsible for:
- Determining materials and machines needed to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Computing dimensions, planning layouts, and determining assembly methods and sequences of operations for fabrication activities.
- Measuring, marking, and scribing metal stock for machining.
- Setting up and operating required machines to successfully and safely fabricate components.
- Verifying that fabricated parts conform to specifications and quality standards.
- Developing prototype parts and tooling solutions when required.
