About the Role Yazaki seeks a Tool Design Engineer for its Arad plant in Romania. The role focuses on designing, validating, and maintaining injection molding tools, supporting manufacturing methods, and driving continuous improvement in tooling processes. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to deliver tool solutions aligned with product and supplier requirements. What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, technical standards, and internal specifications.
- Develop and improve manufacturing methods, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support for production and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Define technical solutions for new injection molding tools based on product and supplier requirements.
- Prepare and validate tooling specifications and 2D/3D drawings.
- Participate in Tool Design Reviews and approve designs before manufacturing.
- Support tool validation and industrialization processes.
- Monitor tooling projects, including jigs and design changes.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and support maintenance activities.
- Define preventive maintenance methods for new molds.
- Stay updated with new technologies and processes. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field).
- Experience in injection molding/tooling or manufacturing engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (2D/3D).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of quality standards and production processes.
- Good communication skills and English proficiency.
