Position Summary Initiates claims against those individuals or companies and follows them through until full payment is received.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Receives audits and maintains the documentation packet from Emergency Response Coordinators which outlines accidents that have damaged highway property. It contains: Incident/Accident Report Police Report Statement of Charges Pictures, if applicable Initiates claims against offending parties. Monitors/responds to ongoing questions or requests for additional information. Makes arrangements for payment options with uninsured/underinsured parties. Initiates small claims processes for unpaid claims. Initiates bad debt write-offs. Documents actions by accessing and entering data into Excel Access database. Assists in providing monthly reports for Project Administrators.
