About the Role We describe Materials Research Furnaces, LLC's Thermomechanical Testing Furnace, a water-cooled, vacuum-rated chamber designed to mount in a variety of test frames. It enables combined thermal, environmental and mechanical testing (compressive, tensile, torsional, deflection, fatigue, multiaxial testing) for temperatures up to 1650 °C in air, inert gas, or vacuum, with hydrogen operation up to 1350 °C. The system supports integration with test grips, extensometers and other equipment via ports and feed-throughs, and offers options such as ceramic hot zones, various hot zone sizes, and different gas environments (inert, oxidizing, reducing).
