Job title: Thermal Engineer (m/f/d)
About the Role OHB System AG is seeking a Thermal Engineer (m/f/d) to design and develop thermal control systems for space missions in Bremen. The role combines technical design, analysis and coordination with suppliers to ensure manufacturability, cost and schedule alignment.
What You'll Do
- Design and development of thermal control systems
- Conceptual design, sizing, verification and validation of thermal control systems according to customer requirements and feasibility with regard to manufacturing, integration, cost, schedule, quality and risk
- Thermal analysis including the creation of thermal models, verification and assessment of analysis results
- Hardware definition based on the chosen thermal control design solutions and product ownership during implementation and verification
- Support of reviews (from system to equipment level) and presentation of work results to internal and external customers
- Technical supervision of thermal hardware sub-contractors and support of the subcontractor manager
- Support of system engineers during design, development and implementation at system and sub-system level
- Support of project management office with work planning and progress reporting
What We're Looking For
- Degree in engineering with a major in aerospace engineering or comparable qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in space thermal sub-system engineering
- Experience in the design of thermal control systems, spacecraft thermal engineering and analysis for spacecraft
- Strong problem-solving skills; high motivation and proactive involvement with a passion for space
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (English and German)
- Experience in subcontractor management
- In-depth knowledge of ESATAN-TMS or a similar thermal analysis software
- Ability to work in an international environment

- German language skills preferred
- Experience in international projects and cross-functional teams
