About the Role BorgWarner is seeking a Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our Kokomo Technical Center in Indiana. This role focuses on thermal analysis and validation to support advanced powertrain and mobility solutions, contributing to BorgWarner's mission of clean and energy-efficient technology.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thermal analyses and simulations to evaluate heat transfer and thermal performance of powertrain and vehicle subsystems.
- Develop and validate thermal models, review test data, and support prototype testing.
- Collaborate with design, testing, and systems teams to implement thermal solutions across programs.
- Support technical reviews and contribute to meeting program timelines and milestones.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive/Thermal Engineering.
- Experience performing thermal analysis and modeling for automotive or similar systems.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and data interpretation; strong communication and teamwork skills; willingness to work onsite in Kokomo, IN.
Nice to Have
- Experience with heat transfer concepts, CFD basics, or multi-physics approaches.
- Prior automotive product development or powertrain cooling experience.
