About the Role UpReach is seeking a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor to lead year-round therapeutic riding lessons in a safe environment for participants and horses. The role focuses on delivering individualized goals through mounted and equine-assisted activities, guided by a team of PATH Intl. certified staff and trained volunteers.
What You'll Do
- Conduct therapeutic riding lessons for individuals or small groups in a year-round program, ensuring safety and alignment with PATH Intl. standards.
- Identify and support participant-specific goals, helping improve horsemanship, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving, and transferring improvements to personal functional skills.
- Collaborate with PATH Intl. certified instructors, trained volunteers, and the UpReach team; coordinate scheduling, billing, and calendar considerations; teach in six-, seven-, or eight-week terms.
- Communicate with families about costs and funding; provide information about financial assistance when available.
What We're Looking For
- PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.
- Experience delivering therapeutic riding or similar programs; ability to tailor goals for diverse participants.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with volunteers and a team.
- Availability Monday-Thursday; capacity to lead weekly sessions with groups; commitment to safety for humans and horses.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Not disclosed; information on cost and financial assistance available on request.
- Terms: six-week, seven-week, and eight-week terms; lessons billed by term; payments due in advance. UpReach provides financial assistance based on income when scholarship funding is available.
