About the Role
The Therapeutic Court Coordinator/Recovery Support Navigator provides professional administrative and coordinative support for Chelan County Superior Court's therapeutic programs. The role manages program operations, delivers case management services, conducts outreach, prepares and administers grants, collects data, and coordinates resources for program participants and individuals in the community on pre-trial release or exiting jail custody.
What You'll Do
- In conjunction with treatment court leadership, assist with development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of therapeutic court programs, supports and interventions.
- Facilitate development and maintenance of program standards, operating procedures and rules; research and implement new programs.
- Create and maintain program data collection systems; compile and analyze statistical data.
- Manage day-to-day operations and events of superior court therapeutic courts and recovery support/intervention programs; assist with short- and long-term strategic planning.
- Serve as the liaison for therapeutic court team members; maintain accurate records of participants and collateral contacts; prepare regular status reports for court; attend court proceedings and staffing meetings.
- Facilitate and link participants with needed services based on treatment plans, provider reports, basic life needs, and court-ordered requirements; maintain regular contact with participants; coordinate group activities and peer recovery support.
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate treatment court incentive programs (phase-ups, monthly drawings, etc.) and activities such as graduation ceremonies, annual picnics, and community outreach events.
- Develop, implement and manage a therapeutic court alumni program.
- Prepare, update and distribute policy manuals, forms and other materials; stay abreast of best practices through trainings.
- Regularly report to the therapeutic court team on program progress and developments; assess individuals' immediate and long-term needs for housing, education or vocational training, and employment; assist in identifying recovery capital and resources.
- Network with counterparts statewide and represent the County on statewide work groups or committees.
What We're Looking For
- Associates Degree or advanced study in social or behavioral health sciences, psychology, criminal justice, or related field; three years of experience in substance use treatment, mental health, case management, program development, outreach or related field.
- Although a high school diploma or GED is mandatory, any equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for post-high school education.
- Considerable knowledge of office practices; ability to plan effectively; ability to work independently and make significant decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and court policies; ability to express ideas concisely, orally and in writing; ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers, attorneys, court partners and the public.
- Mental Health First Aid and CPR/First Aid certification required within first 90 days of employment.
- Depending on qualifications at time of hire, may be required to obtain advanced training and may be asked to visit other courts for observation and mentee opportunities related to therapeutic courts and pre-trial programs.
- Successful applicant will participate in trainings with state and national partners, including the Administrative Office of the Courts and professional associations.
- Preferred qualifications include experience as a peer or recovery support specialist; experience with motivational interviewing; familiarity with the local criminal justice system; and knowledge of local treatment, housing, transportation and community resources.

Compensation & Benefits
- Beginning salary range for this .5 FTE position is $2,513.17 - $2,248.98 (steps 2-4). This position is not eligible for Chelan County benefits.
- Successful applicant will accrue Washington Sick Leave.
- This position may be eligible for DRS—PERS benefits if grant is extended beyond the initial funding period.
- This is a non-bargaining position.
