Job title: TFSM IR EHS Environmental Engineer
About the Role Join Intel's site environmental team in Leixlip to develop, coordinate, and manage environmental programmes across waste, water, air emissions, noise, refrigerants, groundwater, and related management systems. The role focuses on compliance with the site's Industrial Emissions Licence and ISO 14001, driving continuous improvement and incident analysis.
What You'll Do
- Develop, coordinate, and manage the site's environmental programmes (hazardous and non-hazardous waste, wastewater, air emissions, noise, refrigerants, groundwater, and management systems).
- Play a key role in ensuring compliance with the Industrial Emissions Licence and ISO 14001, including review of compliance results/trends, EMS elements (awareness/training, documentation, programme projects), and incident investigation/root cause analysis.
- Support Environmental Engineers to become primary owner for environmental media programmes, with secondary ownership for other programmes.
- Analyze EHS data, identify trends, and define focus areas for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering).
What We're Looking For
- Minimum qualifications: NFQ Level 8 in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering or NFQ Level 8 in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry; 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: semiconductor experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to engage stakeholders and present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detailed knowledge of environmental legislation and practice; experience dealing with the EPA.
- Wastewater management experience advantageous.
- Proficiency in data management/Excel; ability to present environmental data to technical and non-technical forums.
- Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision; self-motivated and proactive with initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Practical experience with EHS management systems.
Nice to Have
- Ideally semiconductor experience.
- Wastewater management experience advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: €59,200 - €111,300.
