Job title: Testing Engineer
About the Role The Testing Engineer will design, develop and implement test hardware and software for production testing of new products. The role involves evaluating deadlines, developing project schedules, and designing solutions to improve test yields, reduce test time, and optimize test/process flows while collaborating with product development and manufacturing facilities.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and implement test hardware and software for production testing of new products.
- Evaluate deadlines, goals and develop project schedules.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to improve test yields, reduce overall test time, provide for test capacity increases, minimize downtime, and optimize test/process flows.
- Implement new processes and technologies, utilize statistical tools, and develop innovations to existing problems and issues.
- Analyze and critique equipment designs/processes relative to market requirements, manufacturability, costs and technical requirements.
- Identify technical and quality problems, determine alternatives and evaluate them to arrive at the most acceptable approach including conformity to specifications, reliability, cost effectiveness, testability and reparability.
- Identify need for, assesses and/or develops technical/process specification standards and participates in establishing procedures to ensure they are followed.
- Prepare and present technical reports to influence the decision making process. Provide technical information and participates as a speaker in technical programs.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to code programming languages.
- Experience working in a Hardware, or Software environment preferred.
- Strong RF knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of test systems Hardware and Software architecture preferred.
- Familiarity with UNIX, C & C++.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision preferred.
- Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area to be considered for this opportunity!

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 65,900 - 100,000 per year.
