Job title: Testing Engineer (Mechanical)
About the Role Join Yazaki as a Testing Engineer (Mechanical). This role contributes to product validation and testing activities for automotive wire harness and related electrical systems, with emphasis on hands-on testing, data recording, and continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality.
What You'll Do
- Test samples preparation
- Test setup preparation
- Test equipment check (pre-test and continuous monitoring of test progress and equipment)
- Test equipment maintenance according to maintenance list
- Product validation testing according to Test Requisition (Electrical, DataConn, Mechanical, Environmental, Dimensional)
- Test record preparation and review
- Test record check
- Test report preparation
- Test Requisition Management: track and manage test requests
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations
- Representing the organization to internal customers
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
- Identify and resolve testing-related issues
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements
- Support product validation processes
- Contribute ideas for validation improvements
- Adapt to changing project needs
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical Engineering university degree
- Work experience in the field of electrical connection systems is an advantage
- Functional understanding of automotive wire harness connection systems
- Test equipment usage proficiency
- LabVIEW programming knowledge
- Team oriented, communication skills, self-motivated hands-on mentality
- English language knowledge on professional level (German language knowledge is an advantage)
