Job title: Test Technician
The Test Technician executes product tests, performs first-level debugging, and carries out repair and rework activities on boards, sub-assemblies, and systems. This role works closely with Product Quality/Test Process Engineers and Operations to ensure products meet quality, reliability, and production requirements.
Primary Functions
- Perform PCBA sub-assembly swapping, component-level debug/repair, and system-level testing.
- Execute test procedures and validate results against defined criteria.
- Conduct first-level troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to Test Engineers when needed.
- Perform final configuration, verification, and validation testing prior to shipment.
- Execute software verification and validation activities.
- Log process results in the required database.
- Follow quality, safety, and calibration requirements for test equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to test efficiency and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum Technical diploma ( 2 to 5 year course) or bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in testing, debugging, or repairing electronic assemblies or systems.
- Ability to read and follow test procedures, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with ATE systems, test stations, or diagnostic tools is an advantage.
