About this role

Molex is seeking a Test Technician to join the Arkansas Design Center (ADC) in Conway, Arkansas. In this role, you will support the Twinax Engineering team by performing electrical testing, test setup, sample preparation, data collection, equipment maintenance, and documentation activities for high-speed twinax cable and cable assembly products.

The successful candidate will work closely with test engineers, signal integrity engineers, and product development teams to execute established test procedures, ensure accurate and repeatable measurements, troubleshoot test setups, and organize test data for engineering review.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in high-speed electrical measurements, signal integrity testing, and next-generation twinax interconnect technologies.

Our Team

The Twinax Engineering team develops and validates high-speed cable and interconnect technologies supporting current and next-generation data rates. The team works across product development, signal integrity, manufacturing, quality, and operations to characterize product performance, support qualification activities, troubleshoot product issues, and deliver reliable high-speed interconnect solutions.

What You Will Do Set up and perform electrical testing of twinax cable and cable assemblies using established test procedures. Operate laboratory test equipment including Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), TDR/TDT systems, oscilloscopes, and other electrical test instruments. Support measurements of electrical performance including insertion loss, return loss, impedance, crosstalk, and other signal integrity parameters. Prepare and connect test samples, fixtures, adapters, cables, and measurement hardware. Perform equipment calibration and verification activities according to established laboratory procedures. Collect, organize, and document test data for engineering review. Assist engineers with product characterization, design verification, qualification testing, and troubleshooting activities. Identify abnormal test results or measurement issues and communicate findings to the appropriate engineer. Troubleshoot basic test setup, fixture, cable, adapter, and equipment issues with engineering support. Support repetitive testing and data collection required to evaluate sample-to-sample and lot-to-lot performance. Maintain test equipment, fixtures, adapters, cables, and laboratory supplies. Create and maintain test records, laboratory documentation, work instructions, and equipment records. Follow laboratory safety, calibration, equipment handling, and measurement practices. Support continuous improvement of laboratory processes, test efficiency, and measurement repeatability.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Associate degree in a technical discipline OR equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year of electrical test, electronics laboratory, or test and measurement experience. Experience using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, or similar electronic measurement equipment. Basic understanding of electrical measurements and troubleshooting. Experience working with electrical or mechanical test fixtures, cables, connectors, or adapters.

What Will Put You Ahead Experience working with high-speed cable, connectors, cable assemblies, or electronic interconnect products. Experience operating VNAs, TDR/TDT systems, oscilloscopes, or other high-frequency test equipment. Familiarity with signal integrity measurements such as insertion loss, return loss, impedance, crosstalk, or S-parameters. Experience performing VNA calibration or working with high-frequency test fixtures and adapters. Experience supporting product qualification, validation, characterization, or failure-analysis testing. Experience using Excel or other tools to organize, graph, and summarize test data. Experience in an engineering laboratory or product development environment.
