Job title: Test Engineer III
About the Role
HME has been creating innovative products for the drive-thru and pro-audio industries since 1971. We are currently recruiting for a temporary Test Engineer III. This role focuses on designing, fabricating, and advancing automated test equipment to support manufacturing and product validation.
What You'll Do
- Design, fabricate, and program Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Develop, evaluate, and recommend state-of-the-art and cost-effective test methods and equipment
- Evaluate new product designs to improve Design for Test (DFT)
- Develop specifications for manufacturing processes in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering
- Generate test procedures
- Curate time and cost estimates for tester development
- Train Technicians on tester operation and troubleshooting
- Provide Testing support
- Assist in the design and development of manual test fixtures
- Perform all other job responsibilities as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Thorough understanding of electronics and design
- Strong understanding of basic Engineering Computer Software
- Comprehensive knowledge of test equipment and how to operate
- Computer programming skills
- Experience with commercial PCB ATE operation and programming is a plus
- Experience: 5 years or equivalent combination of Education & Experience
- Education: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering/related field or equivalent combination of Education & Experience - Required
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering - Preferred

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $94,800 - $126,400 per year
