About the Role TÜV Rheinland is seeking a Test Engineer to execute conformity assessments for safety, quality, and performance of products. This 2nd shift role (4pm - 12:30am Pacific) in Fremont supports testing activities, reports, and customer interactions as part of our engineering services. What You'll Do
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for assigned projects.
- Define testing requirements, methodologies, plans, and programs.
- Conduct testing and analyze data to interpret results.
- Ensure test results meet applicable standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Prepare and issue accurate, timely test reports.
- Coordinate with internal and external laboratories to support testing activities as needed.
- Support sales efforts by providing input on testing costs, capacities, and technical capabilities when required.
- Represent the organization at internal meetings, customer engagements, and industry events by providing technical expertise.
- Foster a strong customer experience through professional communication and service.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise; candidates with limited experience but a strong aptitude and eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Education: University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Work Experience: At least 1-3 years of professional experience in related area.
- Ability to define testing plans, conduct tests, analyze results, and issue reports.
- Comfortable coordinating with internal and external laboratories, and supporting sales and customer communications.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to EMC testing or related standards is a plus (not required). Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $64,000-$78,000 per year.
- Shift: 2nd shift, 4:00pm - 12:30am Pacific Time.
