Job title: Test Engineer - ATE & SLT
About the Role As a test development principal engineer in the Operations business group, you will test features on the silicon semiconductor chips Marvell produces for internal and external customers. You’ll ensure we don’t ship underperforming units, work with design to ensure testability, and meet customer specifications. You may write code or develop new testing strategies when our chips outpace current testing equipment.
What You'll Do
- Test program development on the Advantest 93K tester platform and design tester hardware for high-speed testing.
- Develop characterization, production, and wafer sort test programs on the Advantest 93K tester.
- Create documentation for detailed test plans and methodologies to meet product specifications.
- Participate in testability reviews with DFT/DFM teams to define and enhance yield and test methodologies.
- Convert test patterns from design simulation environment to ATE format.
- Lead test flow optimization, reduce test time, manage insertions/removals, improve yield, and release production test programs with product engineers.
- Demonstrate an inherent sense of urgency and accountability; multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5-10 years of related professional experience.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3-5 years of experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of test program development experience on the Advantest 93K ATE tester platform.
- Demonstrable experience in ATE testing, test methodology, silicon process, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing; experience with C/C++, Perl, Python, and Linux environment.
- Effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills; strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
- Inherent sense of urgency and accountability; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
