About this role

About the Role AbbVie is seeking a field-based sales professional to execute brand strategy and tactics, manage a defined territory and targeted accounts, and place the patient at the center of AbbVie's engagements. The role focuses on delivering sales performance and brand KPIs while complying with AbbVie's code of conduct and all applicable laws and regulations. What You'll Do

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Create a pre-call plan using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
  • Effectively handle objections and concerns, and close on calls by gaining logical, actionable commitments.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, disease areas, product, clinical and sales knowledge, and share insights with in-field teams to align and adapt brand strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers and identify and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience; at least five years of experience if no degree, with three or more years in pharma/health/science preferred.
  • Proven track record in selling with strong presentation skills; ability to adapt to customer style and propose innovative solutions to maximize business opportunities.
  • Influences others, credible and respected resource; builds collaborative partnerships; demonstrates leadership and coaching in changing environments.
  • Documented success in leadership and increasing responsibilities at district/region levels; uses findings to develop sales strategies.
  • Preferred: success in sales within therapeutic areas; pharma industry experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English proficiency.
  • English language proficiency (verbal and written).
  • HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities in the assigned territory; must be in good standing/eligible to obtain credentials.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screen. Nice to Have
  • Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.
