About the Role This field-based role requires you to live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. You will execute AbbVie brand strategy in the field to drive sales performance, manage the territory and targeted accounts, and place the patient at the center while operating within AbbVie's code of conduct and applicable laws. What You'll Do
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives to meet or exceed defined goals.
- Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance.
- Handle objections and concerns effectively, guiding calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs, build trusted relationships, and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans that optimize coverage and frequency to key customers, maximizing access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease states, products, and share insights with the in-field team, brand team and manager to align strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers; identify and develop disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience; required + five years in the industry with at least three years in pharma/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proactive in adapting selling approach to customer style/behavior; proven track record of selling and strong presentation skills.
- Innovative thinker; uses findings to develop sales strategies; understands scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
- Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; able to operate effectively in a matrix environment; credible and collaborative.
- Demonstrates leadership potential; documented success at district/region levels; positive attitude and peer coaching.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to pass drug screening and meet safe driving requirements; willingness and ability to travel, including overnight stays.
- Preferred: experience in commercial pharmaceutical settings (physician/account based selling, training, managed care or marketing); English proficiency; HCIR credentialing requirements. Nice to Have
