Taylor University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in Psychology beginning January 2026. Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities include teaching primarily psychology major courses as well as upper-division courses in the candidate's field of expertise; normal teaching load is 24 hours per academic year. Engage in scholarly activity, professional service, student advising, hold weekly office hours, participate in faculty governance responsibilities, and chapel attendance.
Qualifications include a doctoral degree in psychology and the ability to mentor students in psychological research. The candidate should be able to teach a variety of undergraduate psychology courses, from introductory to advanced levels. Prior experience is desirable; quality teaching is essential. Demonstrated abilities toward or a record of research and publication are also required.
Interest in or experience collaborating with related departments (kinesiology, social work, public health, pre-art therapy, and education) and mentoring opportunities in practicum/directed research is a plus.
