Job title: Tenure-track Faculty in Economics
About the Role Taylor University's Business Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Economics beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will pursue high-quality research and teach a range of economics courses, including introductory and advanced classes, while contributing to curriculum development, advising, and mentoring. A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field is required.
What You'll Do
- Conduct high-quality, innovative research in economics.
- Teach a range of introductory and advanced economics courses, maintaining a full teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year.
- Assist with curriculum development and contribute to departmental service.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
- Engage in scholarly pursuits and service as required by the department.
What We're Looking For
- Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field (required; Ph.D. or DBA noted as preferred in some qualifications).
- Strong interest in undergraduate teaching; prior teaching, online course delivery, and/or postdoctoral experience desired.
- Professional work experience and credentials preferred.
- Personal, vibrant faith and commitment to Taylor University's evangelical Christian mission and moral orientation.
- Willingness to participate in advising, mentoring and departmental service.
