  • Engage in sustained scholarly research and/or other creative work; provide academic advising and mentorship for undergraduate research; and participate in service on committees.
  • Benefit from the department/college support for mentoring and professional development, including a paid pre-tenure leave on the six-year track, startup funds, and internal grants for conference travel and research.

What We're Looking For

  • PhD in hand (or expected by the first semester of 2027-28).
  • Clear commitment to and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching and a record of scholarly activity.
  • Ability to contribute to the distinctiveness and excellence of Oberlin's academic community through research, teaching, and service.
