Tendering Coordinator
You will lead and coordinate end-to-end tendering activities, ensuring compliant, competitive, and timely submissions while collaborating across functions to maximize bid success in the Oil & Gas sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end tender preparation and submission process.
- Analyse technical, financial, and commercial tender requirements.
- Develop tender plans, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate technical proposals, pricing schedules, and compliance matrices.
- Manage documentation requirements relating to NIPEX, NCDMB, NAPIMS, DPR, and other statutory bodies.
- Ensure tenders are accurate, compliant, and submitted within stipulated deadlines.
- Participate in tender evaluations and negotiations and contribute to negotiation strategies.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate with Operations/Construction, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams to develop winning proposals.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies and review cost estimates.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify business opportunities.
- Maintain databases of upcoming tenders, prequalification opportunities, and bid outcomes.
- Assist with contract review, negotiation, execution, and administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in tendering, contract management, or business development, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, contractual terms, and Nigerian local content requirements.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tendering software/tools.
- Master’s Degree or professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or NACE is an added advantage.
