Temporary Warehouse Positions - Freeport, ME
L.L.Bean's Freeport, ME warehouse is hiring for temporary, hands-on positions to support the holiday season. Roles include packing, picking, monogramming, material handling, and returns processing in a fast-paced, team-driven environment across 1st and 2nd shifts. These temporary roles may extend beyond the holidays depending on business needs.
Packing – Scan items out of totes, verify orders, generate outbound shipping documents, and pack orders. Picking – Use handheld scanner to collect units into totes and transfer to conveyor belts; walk 6-8 miles per shift and climb ladders as needed. Pack Monogramming – Operate computerized monogramming machine to personalize items for customers; may also be trained in Pack Seasonal. Material Handler – Safely transfer and move cases; stack pallets; respond to conveyor jams; lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull equipment. Returns Processing – Read handwritten or printed instructions, navigate multiple computer systems, and process items back to inventory.
Basic math and ability to understand, speak, and read English; able to learn new computer applications. Ability to stand/walk the entire shift and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Ability to multitask, work as part of a team, and meet safety and quality expectations. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including potential weekend or overtime as needed.
Experience using Windows-based applications or basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or similar fast-paced setting.
Pay range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour.
