Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt

Job Description Summary The Penn Center for Media, Technology, and Democracy (Penn MEDIATED) works to advance the scientific understanding of the information ecosystem and leverage that research to strengthen the foundations of democracy.

Penn MEDIATED seeks a research analyst (RA) to assist the Executive Director with research, analysis, and writing on policy issues related to the information ecosystem.

This position is eligible for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field of study required.

  • Strong ability to read and understand quantitative social science or computational research.

  • Excellent written communication skills (required).

  • Demonstrated interest in democracy, media, information integrity, technology policy; or related areas (preferred).

  • Experience with research synthesis, literature reviews, or policy briefs (required).

  • Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
