About the Role The EKT Family Engagement Facilitator will lead the family engagement component of Metropolitan Family Service's Early Kindergarten Transition program at Glenfair Elementary Community School. The role involves coordinating and facilitating groups of family members in a school setting to support incoming Kindergarten students. What You'll Do
- Work with designated partners in the schools
- Utilize best practices when conducting groups
- Maintain awareness of family needs and issues
- Attend training prior to facilitation start date
- Attend supervision meetings as needed
- Provide data and written reports as required or requested by supervisor
- Effectively and consistently market the organization, communicating about MFS and its programs in a way that is both compelling and on message
- Comply with Metropolitan Family Service policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Other duties as assigned by SUN Site Manager, EKT Kinder Teachers and the School Principal
- Maintain positive working relationships with students, families, school staff, and custodians
- Work within school and agency policies. Protect student and family confidentiality What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating in a classroom setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with low income families
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to recognize and manage critical incidents within program and/mandatory reporting regulations and responsibilities
- Ability and commitment to continuous quality improvements and innovation
- Experience with parenting education curriculums and/or facilitation
- Must be at least 18 years of age; must be legally able to work in the United States Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $30.00 per hour
- This is a temporary position with a defined end date in August 2026.
