About the Role
The Temp Systems Administrator will support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of IT systems, with a focus on maintaining the organisation's Microsoft servers, networks, and related services. The role entails providing day-to-day IT support for internal users and ensuring secure, reliable IT operations in a 6-month contract.
What You'll Do

Provide day-to-day support for the internal user base and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and networks.

Maintain and administer Microsoft-related services and a mixed environment including Windows and Linux virtual servers, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and backups (Veeam).

Configure and manage Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls, VPNs, firewall policies, and overall network security.

Administer Microsoft 365, Outlook, OneDrive, Azure, Intune, Dynamics 365, SharePoint (On-Premises and Online), Teams, and cloud hosting.

Contribute to disaster recovery planning, backup practices, PKI/AD CS, and certificate management.

Develop and support automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.

Troubleshoot and support hardware, software, networks, and related IT infrastructure.

Liaise with vendors to ensure IT services meet organisational standards and best practices.

What We're Looking For
-
A bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in information technology (NQF level 7 or above) or a related field.
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in server administration and IT support, with strong troubleshooting skills.
-
Extensive experience in IT and support roles; excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong understanding of security architecture and network security; ability to protect data and systems.

Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server administration, VMware, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Veeam, Fortinet FortiGate, VPNs, and firewall policies.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and Azure/Intune/Power Platform products; knowledge of SharePoint.

Experience with disaster recovery, PKI (AD CS), certificates, and OCSP/CRLs.

Knowledge of Power Automate, networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs), and cybersecurity.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Windows Server, RHCSA, VCP, Fortinet NSE/FCP, or Azure Administrator Associate; ITIL/COBIT/Network+/A+/Security+ advantageous.

Proficient in MS Office; strong English skills; good numerical ability; solid interpersonal skills.

Salary: R33 099.49 per month (6-month contract).
