About this role

About the Role The Telehealth Clinician provides mental health counseling, screenings and assessments, psychotherapy, and care coordination as part of Eva’s Village's Integrated Service Team. Working under clinical supervision, this role focuses on delivering high-quality services via telehealth and in collaboration with psychiatrists/APNs and other staff. What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments; coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders with the appropriate staff
  • Perform Clinical Assessments, consultations, and psychotherapeutic counseling under supervision of an LCSW or other licensed supervisor
  • Apply Social Work methods and Professional Counselor values in assessments and psychotherapy with individuals, families, or groups
  • Ensure compliance with the Scope of Practice of LSW/LAC under supervision; provide social work and professional counseling services
  • Complete detailed assessments/history of treatment, including prior admissions, SI/HI, medications, etc.
  • Complete DSM-5-TR diagnoses, Individualized Service Plans (ISP), level of care recommendations, and pre-authorizations as indicated
  • Complete the client service plan by fifth session or within 60 days of first visit, unless clinical circumstances justify different timing
  • Provide service plan reviews at significant decision points; document in progress notes or plan revisions
  • Review the service plan with client at minimum every 3 months in first year, then every 6 months
  • Provide co-occurring individual counseling; detailed daily progress notes in the EHR
  • Perform case management: referrals and scheduling of evaluations and follow-ups with Eva’s Village psychiatrists/APN or community providers
  • Participate in clinical staff meetings and MDT coordinating care
  • Maintain up-to-date client documentation in EHR; maintain professional licensing per NJ requirements
  • Other projects as needed by Coordinator or Sr. Director What We're Looking For
  • Master’s degree in mental health counseling or related field (MSW, MA, or MS) and licensure (LAC, LSW, LCSW, or LPC) and/or substance use licensure (LCADC)
  • 1-3 years of Behavioral Health experience; experience in assessment, crisis intervention, and group/individual facilitation
  • Knowledge of bio-psychosocial model, DSM-5-TR, ASAM criteria; familiarity with mental health resources in Paterson, NJ and Passaic County
  • Understanding of substance use disorder treatment; ability to work within confidentiality and ethical guidelines Compensation & Benefits Salary: $45-$60 per hour Contract position based in Paterson, New Jersey (onsite)
