About this role
Técnico Superior de Segurança (Nível VI) with proven experience in public works. This role focuses on implementing and enforcing safety management practices, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and safeguarding people on site. Ferrovial seeks a collaborative and proactive Safety Technician to move projects forward safely.
What You'll Do
- Implement and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 – Safety Management Systems – and related procedures.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and verify legal requirements relevant to the project.
- Elaborate specific Safety Plans (PES) – identify hazards and assess risks.
- Develop on-site training and information for the workforce.
- Represent the company in meetings with the Owner and/or Safety Coordination.
- Prepare other Safety, Health and Environment (SST) documents requested by the Owner.
- Periodically accompany company representatives on site visits and inspections.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in public works.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 – Safety Management Systems – procedures.
- Ability to implement and comply with current legislation.
- Identification and verification of legal requirements.
- Experience preparing PES – hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Experience developing on-site training and information.
- Ability to represent the company in meetings with the Owner and/or Safety Coordination.
- Experience preparing other SST-related documents requested by the Owner.
- Willingness to participate in periodic site visits and inspections.
