About the Role Technology Strategy Manager/Sr. Manager leads technology strategy for the Communications, Media & High-Tech industry, advising senior executives and shaping technology-enabled business strategies. You will help clients realize value from technology, drive transformations, and explore emerging technologies such as GenAI to capture market share.
What You'll Do
- Lead team, project, and program deliverables while supervising and mentoring full teams.
- Build strong relationships with senior clients, including developing C-suite relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Drive thought leadership, asset development, and intellectual capital efforts; identify and advance ideas for new opportunities.
- Support Business Development by understanding how to architect and position proposals and SOWs.
- Facilitate to drive results and gain consensus for action; address difficult client conversations and engage senior client stakeholders.
- Travel as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Manager: Minimum 1 year of strategy consulting experience at a consulting firm; minimum 5 years of experience in operating model strategy, M&A, tech value and cost take-out, or technology-driven revenue growth strategy; minimum 5 years of experience writing business cases; minimum 2 years of experience leading or managing small teams; Bachelor's degree.
- Senior Manager: Minimum 3 years of strategy consulting experience at a consulting firm; minimum 6 years of experience in at least two of the following: operating model strategy, technology in M&A, tech value cost take-out, or technology-driven revenue growth strategy; minimum 6 years of experience writing business cases; minimum 5 years of experience leading or managing large teams; Bachelor's degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the Software & Platforms or Communications & Media industry.
- Comfortable using AI tools for research, synthesis, and analysis; ability to evaluate AI outputs critically.
- Understanding of data limitations, bias, and model risk.
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, ability to question decisions, and provide creative solutions.
- Ability to manage junior team members and develop them for more responsibility.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to manage client relationships.
