Job title: Technology Project Controls Manager

About the Role The Technology Project Controls Manager will lead complex technology projects, programs, and priority initiatives, providing leadership in project controls, financial management, schedule governance, risk management, and performance reporting. This role partners with Project Managers, Finance, and Procurement to ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. It combines financial stewardship with schedule oversight and risk mitigation to enable data-driven decision making at the leadership level.

What You'll Do

  • Lead budget development, forecasting, and financial tracking activities; monitor expenditures, commitments, and variances; conduct cost reviews and support funding requests and governance.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules with resource loading, sequencing, and critical path accuracy; conduct schedule risk assessments and facilitate reviews.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; manage change control processes and document risks and opportunities.
  • Produce executive-level project controls reports and ensure compliance with PMO standards; participate in project reviews, audits, and stage-gate assessments.
  • Build strong partnerships with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, and external partners; present updates to leadership and support cross-functional decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project controls, project management, cost management, or scheduling.
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, and advanced Excel.
  • Leadership and stakeholder engagement; financial analysis and forecasting; data-driven decision-making; strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • PMP, EVP, PSP, PMI-SP, or similar certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital projects.
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, engineering, or manufacturing industry experience.
