About the Role You will serve as a subject matter expert in autonomy-related technology capabilities for Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) in Alexandria, VA. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, design, and advance autonomy solutions for defense programs. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on system engineering to deliver capability improvements. What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership on autonomy capabilities, architectures, and integration with broader systems.
- Collaborate with program teams to translate mission needs into requirements, roadmaps, and technical plans for autonomy systems.
- Perform system assessments, perform risk analysis and trade studies related to autonomy technologies, and support verification and validation activities.
- Support proposals and customer engagements with technical insights on autonomy capabilities and potential solutions. What We're Looking For
- Experience with autonomy technologies (perception, navigation, control, AI/ML) and related domains.
- Systems engineering background with ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and potentially DoD acquisition processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-focused environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (engineering, computer science, or equivalent).
