Job title: Technician - Maintenance
About the Role As a Maintenance Technician at Sonoco's Querétaro RPC Plant, you will perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
What You'll Do
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory usage.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Additional Responsibilities as Assigned.
- This position is in our Querétaro RPC Plant.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
