Xylem is seeking a Technischer Projekteinkäufer (m/w/d) - Herford to lead the technical project purchasing from project initiation to series ramp. You will source project-specific materials for development and new product projects (R&D), qualify and manage suppliers, and drive cost, timing, and quality targets.
Independently manage the technical project purchasing from project initiation to series start. Source project-specific materials for development and NP projects (R&D). Select, qualify, develop and support national and international suppliers. Conduct tenders and technical and commercial supplier evaluations. Lead price, contract and term negotiations and develop procurement strategies. Ensure cost, schedule and quality targets including material cost controlling, TCO analyses and pricing evaluations. Collaborate in interdisciplinary project teams with development, project management, quality and other functions. Assist with sampling (PEP/PPAP), material planning, and ensure timely material availability. Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements including import and customs processes.
Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable technical qualification. Several years of experience in technical project or category procurement, ideally in an industrial environment. Experience in supplier management and managing complex procurement projects. Negotiation confidence and strong technical and commercial understanding. Analytical, structured and independent work style with high solution orientation. Strong communication, negotiation skills and team orientation. Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is advantageous. Willingness to travel ~20%. Very good German and business fluent English.
Minimum gross salary of 4,615 EUR per month (full-time, 13 salaries).
