Job title: Technisch Specialist & Nieuwbouw Voorman
About the Role The Technisch Specialist & Nieuwbouw Voorman is the pivotal role combining deep technical diagnosis expertise with leadership of the new-build team. You will coordinate critical new-build projects, ensure high-quality workmanship, and mentor the next generation of technicians at Volvo Group Truck Center.
What You'll Do
- Act as top expert on electric vehicles and complex systems; diagnose and repair complex issues; perform independent repairs and maintenance; participate in regular planning; be the technical go-to for colleagues.
- Nieuwbouwaansturing: serve as the coordinating link between the new-build team and Account Managers (Volvo & Renault Trucks); proactively review colleagues' work to maintain high quality; ensure efficient and safe operation and strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Nieuwbouw coördinatie & leermeesterschap: coordinate new-build projects (weekly planning with Account Manager, SM, Warehouse, Sales Support) and supervise technicians; act as official mentor; conduct regular progress conversations; guide repairs and prepare apprentices for practical exams; collaborate with VGTC Academy Coaches to develop apprentices and career switchers.
What We're Looking For
- Completed MBO level 4 in a technical field, preferably Automotive/Commercial Vehicle Technik.
- Minimum 4 years' recent relevant experience as a commercial vehicle technician, with proven experience in complex diagnoses (especially EVs) and new-build issues.
- Proven leadership or coaching experience in a technical environment (Team Leader/Foreman a big plus).
- Proactive, positive, and open attitude to foster team development; strong affinity with safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Holds or is willing to obtain APK-keurmeester certificate and recognized tachograph installer certificate.
- Driving license C/E is a big plus or willingness to obtain.
Nice to Have
- Experience leading teams or overseeing projects, and strong coaching abilities.
- Experience with electrical vehicles and complex diagnostic tooling.
- C/E license and/or willingness to obtain.
