Job title: Technicien(ne) qualité
About the Role The role of Technicien(ne) qualité is to support production quality for Nova Bus products, under the supervision of the Production Quality Manager, ensuring adherence to standards and production processes, and collaborating with teams on continuous improvement. The schedule may include 12h shifts (day and evening) to support production.
What You'll Do
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and targets defined in action plans; perform supplier follow-up
- Participate in ISO quality audits as needed and perform station audits
- Track corrective and preventive actions; participate in in-service audits
- Engage in problem-solving activities with involved sectors; respond to production line calls
- Monitor prototype and demonstration vehicles in production to validate design and assembly quality
- Liaise with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering on non-conformity issues
- Investigate non-conformities to identify root causes and perform Pareto analysis
- Contribute to service report resolutions; draft the quality control plan (PIE: inspection and test plans)
- Manage documentation of non-conformities with suppliers; handle line rejects and non-conformities on the line
- Draft quality standards and obtain engineering approval; manage inspection points
- Participate in improvement projects; support STE and PLB plants
- Other tasks related to the role
What We're Looking For
- DEC in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, industrial engineering or quality control
- Experience in quality assurance in manufacturing
- Bilingual in French and English
- Initiative and autonomy; ability to organize and structure work
- Very good analytical skills and sound judgment; strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities
- Creativity in solution finding; adaptability to change and ability to work under pressure; ability to meet deadlines and deliverables
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standard; knowledge of measurement devices (vernier, micrometer)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Inventor; good team spirit
