About this role
ENGIE is seeking a Technicien.ne en instrumentation et Contrôle to support the South region’s TGV plants in Amercoeur, Flémalle and Saint-Ghislain, Wallonie, Belgium. The role focuses on instrumentation and control systems within a modern industrial environment and contributes to ENGIE’s goal of a carbon-neutral future.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and modification of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems (DCS and PLC).
- Diagnose instrumentation or control system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Service equipment such as motorized valves, power cabling, relay installations, servomotors, measuring devices and programmable logic controllers.
- Prepare and consolidate technical and administrative documentation for interventions, for both internal work and third-party contractors.
- Write reports detailing interventions performed.
- Participate in on-call duties (one week on duty every five weeks) and may be required to move between sites within Wallonie.
- Ensure that ENGIE safety culture is adopted and applied by all colleagues and contractors.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (A1) in Automation or an A2 in Automation with relevant hands-on experience.
- Prior experience in maintenance of instrumentation or automation systems.
- Autonomous, well-organized, and able to work effectively in a team; eager to grow within a dynamic, evolving company.
- Proficient in French (oral and written); basic understanding of technical English.
- Proficient with Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP knowledge (modules MM & PM) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work on multiple sites in Wallonie as required.
