About the Role
The Technician is responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing material handling equipment and related systems on company premises or at customer sites in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining vehicle records. The role requires delivering quality service in line with company and customer requirements and performing essential duties satisfactorily.
What You'll Do
- Servicing material handling equipment and keeping forklift serviceability aligned with specified standards and procedures, delivering quality service maintenance.
- Perform accurate diagnosis and troubleshooting in event of breakdown; communicate repairs needed to customer and/or supervisor.
- Maintain vehicle maintenance data/history by updating information to be recorded.
- Promote service/maintenance programs.
- Provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.
- Ensure proper communication between self, workshop staff and customer.
- Ensure OHSACT requirements are met on company and client premises; maintain a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operations, following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
