About the Role The Technician M/F is responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing material handling equipment, systems and products on company premises or at customer sites in a timely and cost-effective manner, and for maintaining vehicle records. This role requires adherence to OHSACT requirements and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to meet customer and company requirements.
What You'll Do
- Servicing of material handling equipment and maintaining forklift serviceability to specified standards and procedures by delivering quality service/maintenance.
- Perform accurate diagnosis/troubleshooting in event of breakdown and communicate required repairs to customer and/or supervisor.
- Maintain vehicle maintenance and operational data/history by updating records and communicating information in a timely manner.
- Promote service/maintenance programs and provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.
- Ensure proper communication between self, workshop staff (Field Service Team Leader and Controller) and customer.
- Ensure OHSACT requirements are met on company and client premises; maintain a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operations, following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Diploma (level 3) or equivalent.
- Experience: 4 to 6 years in related material handling equipment service.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance histories and comply with OHSACT and safety requirements.
- Good teamwork and communication skills; ability to coordinate with Field Service Team Leader and Controller.
- Willingness to work on customer sites and on company premises.
