Job title: Technician lll, Industrial Water Treatment
About the Role ChemTreat’s water treatment technical sales support role focuses on maintaining and expanding business by maximizing profitability of assigned customer accounts, providing basic water treatment applications and reporting results to Account Managers and customers. The role requires professional customer and technical service delivery, familiarity with basic water testing, measurements, and documenting results.
What You'll Do
- Regularly perform water analysis and engage in advanced problem-solving to apply the appropriate chemical solutions and monitor effects for additional treatment
- Focus on performing required services as dictated by contractual obligations
- Consistently calibrate pumps and perform repairs that restore chemical feeds
- Monitor product feed rates and their relative impact on the water sample and make necessary adjustments to treatment program when gaps are detected
- Provide technical guidance and instruction to junior technicians
- Enter results into software program and communicate results utilizing service reports
- Assist in water-related system improvement projects
- Monitor product inventories
- Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition
- Other duties as assigned by manager
What We're Looking For
- Bachelors of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in water treatment, chemical or adjacent industries
- Technical skills, analytical skills, and strong verbal/written communication
- Knowledge of company product portfolio and application uses
- Ability to work with only limited supervision
- Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent
- Travel dependent on size of assigned territory; may require long hours and varied schedules
- Physical ability to perform tasks including walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 60 pounds; occasional handling of heavier drums
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 USD per year
