A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will manage and refine technical unit structures for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators in SAP. Your daily focus centers on investigating field feedback, resolving historical data backlogs, and creating precise material master records. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams as the primary point of contact for configuration inquiries while conducting routine quality checks on machine documentation. By maintaining high data integrity, your work directly streamlines global service operations, technical clarifications, and spare parts cataloging for Siemens Energy.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Maintain and update technical unit configuration structures for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators in SAP based on field feedback.
- Investigate and correct missing or inaccurate part data within existing machine structures to resolve historical data backlogs.
- Create, modify, and integrate material master records into unit configuration structures to ensure high data integrity.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for material master inquiries, unit structure requests, and process improvements.
- Perform regular quality checks on unit data to support seamless technical clarification, spare parts planning, and catalogue creation.
What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Professional experience in technical data maintenance, configuration management, or engineering data structures.
- Proficiency with SAP ERP, Siemens Teamcenter (PLM), and MS Office 365, including advanced Excel.
- Strong technical knowledge of material master management, unit configuration structures (UCS), and turbine or generator specifications.
- Capabilities in data cleansing, validation, root cause analysis, and data structure mapping.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a strong capacity for technical communication and cross-functional collaboration.
About the Team
Our Gas Services team offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
