Technical Trainer

About the Role As a Technical Trainer at Copeland, you will deliver technical training to customers, contractors, wholesalers, end users, OEMs and employees on Copeland Commercial and Residential Cold Chain Electronics components and systems used in the HVAC/R industry. The senior trainer will present professionally and develop strong working relationships with subject matter experts and Product Managers, coordinating content to meet learning objectives and staying current with technology and industry trends.

What You'll Do

• Deliver curricula using instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods
• Conduct standard and custom classes per customer requirements
• Follow good pedagogy practices for adult learning
• Coordinate development of course material to cover learning objectives; adjust learning objectives as needed
• Evaluate training material for improvements
• Continue self-study to stay current with technologies
• Participate in engineering and product planning sessions
• Participate in industry forums to ensure accuracy of technical information
• Train and mentor training specialists
• Serve as the lead customer contact point at training events

What We're Looking For

• Five (5) years of experience as an HVACR technician, wholesaler, educator or equivalent HVACR industry role
• Experience with Residential controls and components
• Ability to travel 60-70%
• Ability to present to groups and facilitate learning programs
• Skilled in providing customer service
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; PC equipment and mobile devices
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• US legal work authorization (sponsorship not provided)

Nice to Have

• Degree in HVACR-related field
• Seven (7) years of related experience
• Ability to work well with a wide range of people and diverse groups
• Skilled in analyzing audience to present material clearly and effectively
• Proficient presentation skills and experience handling classes of various sizes
• Online and in-person presence in the HVACR educational community

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD 110,000 - 130,000 annually
• Fully remote; occasional travel to Copeland sites may be required
• We pay a competitive base salary within the local market and reward performance during our annual merit review process
