About the Role Technical Support Engineer – Rail Signalling (Wayside) in Stockholm. This level-2 role tackles the most complex technical challenges in railway signaling systems, ensuring continuous, safe operation of the network. You’ll diagnose root causes, drive sustainable solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep systems working in real-time. What You'll Do
- Own and drive resolution of complex, escalated technical issues
- Analyze logs, data and system behavior to identify root causes
- Work with signals systems that control and safeguard rail traffic
- Ensure durable solutions via corrective and preventive actions
- Provide expert support to L1 and contribute to structured troubleshooting
- Develop smart tools, guides and processes to simplify future debugging
- Test, verify and quality-check solutions in lab before production
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Project and Customer Support
- Contribute to continuous improvement of how we work and deliver What We're Looking For
- Engineering background (e.g., electrical, IT or related)
- Experience with advanced technical troubleshooting or field service
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux and basic networking
- Experience with signaling systems (IXL, ERTMS L1/L2) is a plus
- Curious, solution-driven and ownership mindset
- Team player who can drive things forward with others
- Clear and confident communication
- Fluent in Swedish and English Nice to Have
- Additional experience with railway signaling systems is advantageous
