Job Title: Technical Support and Installation Officer
Location: Surulere and Ojuelegba - Lagos
Job Summary
- We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive Technical Support and Installation Officer to handle equipment installation, technical troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technology deployment.
- The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of providing effective technical support to clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
Installation and Deployment:
- Install, configure, and test hardware, software, networking, and audiovisual equipment at office and client locations.
- Conduct site surveys, cabling, mounting, and equipment commissioning.
- Prepare and test equipment before deployment.
Technical Support and Maintenance:
- Provide first-line technical support in person, by phone, or remotely.
- Diagnose and resolve faults involving computers, networks, and electronic devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain service records.
Projects and Development:
- Assist in designing, building, and testing technology solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide client training.
- Research new tools and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare job reports and maintain accurate asset registers.
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Comply with health, safety, and data security requirements.
General Duties:
- Collaborate with team members to complete assignments within agreed deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- ND, HND, or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking, cabling, and audiovisual systems.
- Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
- Relevant work experience is an added advantage.
- Candidates residing close to Surulere or Ojuelegba are strongly preferred.
Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
