Job title: Technical Specialist - 3000°C Graphite Furnace
About the Role This position focuses on supporting the 3000°C graphite furnace product line used for ultra-high temperature processing. You will help translate its capabilities into customer solutions, document performance, and collaborate with engineering on feature improvements.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical guidance on operating the 3000°C graphite furnace, including inert-gas operation up to 3000°C and vacuum operation up to 2200°C to maximize heating-element life.
- Explain and support the top-loading design, pneumatic lid, graphite heating element, and heat shielding, and assist with smaller sizes and configuration options.
- Support temperature measurement setups using optical pyrometer and retractable thermocouple; interpret and generate relevant specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Help customers define processing parameters, confirm repeatable processing, and collect/record processing data.
- Collaborate with engineering and service teams on product improvements, testing, and customer demonstrations.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of high-temperature furnaces, graphite heating elements, and furnace safety principles.
- Experience with inert-gas and vacuum processing and the implications for temperature and equipment lifetime.
- Ability to read technical drawings and communicate complex specifications to customers.
- Familiarity with temperature measurement tools and data recording.
Nice to Have
- Experience with pneumatic lid actuation or batch furnaces.
- Experience presenting technical information to customers or stakeholders.
