About this role

Technical Solution Architect

Location: United States

Description

  • Location: Remote, USA

  • Hybrid to Wayne, PA or Naperville, IL a plus

  • How you’ll contribute to our mission

  • As the Technical Solution Architect you will own the environments that give prospective customers their first hands-on experience with Frontline's solutions, and provide technical expertise to our customers on how data flows across Frontline’s solutions. Reporting to Solution Architecture, you will be responsible for the demo and evaluation environment end to end: governance, readiness, maintenance, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for supporting the demonstration of data flow with this environment, as well as serve as the customer-facing subject matter expert on data integrations. This is a net-new role with no engineering commitment. Your leverage comes from convening Product, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Engineering partners to set shared standards and hold the business to them.

  • You will establish and lead the Solution Environment Evaluation Governance Council, define who owns what, and make sure every priority solution has a customer-ready instance for all customer-facing roles. You will also maintain the video recording environment so sales reps can quickly create short videos to send to prospects in early engagements. By blending process design, cross-functional influence, and technical fluency, you'll help our teams show school districts what's possible with confidence, and help the districts see it.

  • How you’ll drive success

  • Establish and lead the cross-functional Solution Environment Evaluation Governance Council, setting ownership, accountability, and standards across all environments.

  • Define operating policies for environment use, access, and lifecycle, and establish ownership and accountability for legacy environments.

  • Own the intake and provisioning process for environment requests, including escalation paths, SLAs, and a support model for ongoing requests and issues.

  • Represent evaluation environments as a named stakeholder in product release readiness and release planning.

  • Develop and maintain Gold Standard environments for priority solutions, with standardized data sets, persona guidance, a defined refresh process, and readiness checklists.

  • Own environment documentation and guides, manage the use case library, and contribute to training materials and best-practice guides for Sales, Solution Architecture, and Marketing.

  • Own the video resource library, enabling sales reps to share short videos with prospects.

  • Define role-based permissions and access models, provide guidance for third-party integrations, and enable automated or self-guided customer product engagement.

  • Partner with Engineering on platform enhancements and feedback, and review and prioritize the existing evaluation environment engineering backlog.

  • Identify and reduce manual effort in high-maintenance environments.

  • Inventory existing environment ownership, access models, and operational dependencies, and document the processes that support legacy environments.

  • Provide technical expertise on APIs and integrations, to customers as an overlay to Solution Architects, particularly to IT personas requesting data flow support and identity management support

  • What you bring to help us grow

  • 5+ years in solution architecture, sales engineering, product operations, systems administration, or a similar role managing complex SaaS environments.

  • Experience owning or administering demo, sandbox, or evaluation environments for enterprise software.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, convening cross-functional stakeholders and driving adoption of standards without direct authority.

  • Strong process design skills, including intake, SLAs, escalation paths, and readiness or certification frameworks.

  • Comfort working with role-based access, data management, and integrations at a functional level.

  • Strong knowledge of APIs and integration architectures, including REST APIs, authentication methods, webhooks, data exchange patterns, and customer-facing integrations. Ability to assess integration requirements, troubleshoot connectivity and configuration issues, and partner effectively with Engineering, Product, and external stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS application security and identity management concepts, including role-based access control, SSO, identity providers, authentication and authorization frameworks, data protection practices, and secure handling of credentials and test data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to create clear documentation and enablement content.

  • Experience with K-12 education, HCM, ERP, or student information systems is a plus.

  • Familiarity with release management or product readiness processes is a plus.

  • Experience with video and demo-recording tools and sales enablement platforms is a plus.

  • Experience building a function or program from scratch is a plus

  • What you’ll need to thrive

  • A builder's mindset and comfort defining a function, its standards, and its operating model from the ground up.

  • A collaborative spirit that builds trust and alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Engineering.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability to turn complexity into simple, repeatable processes that people actually follow.

  • Resilience and adaptability as priorities, products, and environments evolve.

  • A growth-oriented mindset: open to feedback, eager to improve, and curious about new technologies.
