About this role

About the Role The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will oversee all aspects of deploying Motorola Solutions Guardian Suite of Control Room Products to strategically important customers. The TPM is the primary customer contact for deployment and technical issues, and will coordinate backup resources as needed. The role requires bridging the gap between operational delivery and technical delivery, guiding the deployment strategy and communicating it to the development team. The TPM will lead the agile Delivery Team(s) and work with BAs and deployment/QA engineers, reporting to a Senior Project Manager with oversight by the Head of Delivery. What You'll Do

  • Create and maintain the overall project plan and all associated documentation (RAID log, RFCs, requirements, contract changes, finance)
  • Manage customer relationships via remote and on-site engagement
  • Coordinate internal and external resources and stakeholders to meet project timescales
  • Capture and document customer requirements, including business process analysis and technical analysis
  • Produce solution specifications/designs and align with the customer and internal stakeholders
  • Manage development and testing of the solution in line with the project plan
  • Deploy and obtain customer sign-off of the solution
  • Lead and coordinate the agile Delivery Team(s) (business analysts and deployment/QA engineers)
  • Report to a Senior Project Manager with oversight from the Head of Delivery What We're Looking For
  • Essential: Degree in Computing Science or equivalent experience
  • Essential: Degree in Project Management or equivalent experience
  • Essential: Knowledge of AGILE (or Waterfall) project management principles with certification or working towards certification
  • Essential: Experience delivering large and complex software solutions to major customers
  • Essential: Proven experience in managing key stakeholders
  • Essential: Proven leadership and motivation of virtual teams
  • Essential: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Essential: Must be able to obtain NPPV3 security clearance Nice to Have
  • Experience of software deployment to UK bluelight (police and fire) agencies is highly desirable
  • Experience of UK bluelight (police and fire) Control Room operations is highly desirable Compensation & Benefits
