Pall Corporation – Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing mid-to-large scale projects across a wide range of general industrial applications. You will lead cross-functional project teams to design and manufacture filtration systems, delivering Pall’s high-quality engineering solutions to customers. This role has the additional responsibility for performing engineering activities to deliver engineered to order solutions for customers.

This position reports to the Division Manager - Energy+ Program Management Japan and is part of the Program Management team located in Pall Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and will be an on-site role supporting the Japanese projects for Pall.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manage project schedules and action item progress in collaboration with the engineering team. Produce and check engineering documentation as required (on time, to budget and of suitable quality) to support requests for quote / customer orders / manufacturing and suppliers including drawings, calculations, data sheets and procedures. Preparation and checking of full, clear, and concise specifications for product function for use in internal and external documentation and testing protocols together with applications and commissioning engineers. Participate in and take ownership of technical clarification meetings, troubleshooting and problem solving activities with customers, suppliers and other groups within Pall. Support projects from initiation (budgeting and estimation phase, contract review upon order receipt) through final delivery. Gather and accurately understand requirements from customers, internal engineering teams, and external partners, and consolidate them into translated and well-documented deliverables. Visualize project status and conduct daily project management activities. Deliver projects in accordance with agreed timelines, cost targets, and quality standards.

The essential requirements of the job include: Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering from a technical college, university, or graduate. Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with advanced learning or extensive experience in a relevant discipline. Experience related to project management, such as schedule control and action item tracking. Minimum 5 years' experience in design of filtration and pressure vessels products or equivalent. Knowledge and experience in problem solving and continuous improvement activities. English: business-level proficiency or above (including verbal communication with overseas organizations and coordination with international suppliers). Japanese: Native-level proficiency.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must be willing to travel both within local country and abroad therefore a current driving license and passport are essential.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience as a mechanical engineer. Design experience in compliance with pressure vessel codes and standards (ASME, HPV, JIS, JPI, etc.). Welding experience. Experience with fabricated equipment inspection.
