About the Role Materials Research Furnaces, LLC provides hot pressing furnaces designed to apply heat and pressure for densification, sintering or changing material structure. These systems are used in powder metallurgy and ceramics for bonding powders or preformed compounds. This description outlines the specifications and capabilities of our hot pressing furnaces.
What You'll Do
- Support deployment and technical guidance for hot pressing furnace technology, including vacuum chamber operation and high-temperature processing.
- Advise on system configurations, including compression forces, travel, and hot zone materials (ceramic, graphite, metallic).
- Assist customers with material processing requirements (densification, sintering) and integration into their testing frames or production lines.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of high-temperature furnaces and vacuum environments, up to 2300°C (4172°F).
- Understanding of compression forces up to 100 US Tons (890 kN) and temperature uniformity within specified tolerances.
- Familiarity with ceramic, graphite or metallic hot zones and batch furnace operation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with powder metallurgy, ceramics, and material processing in controlled atmospheres.
