What You'll Do
- Adopt design patterns, testing and automation to ensure fast and safe iteration cycles
- Take ownership of the quality and reliability of the projects you own
- Lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions
- Use your knowledge to coach your teammates and raise the whole engineering process
- Work with your Engineering Lead and Product Manager to break down requirements for new projects
What We're Looking For
- Experience in architecting and building backend services with high availability, low latency, and scalability
- Familiarity with building performant and intuitive front-end applications
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, design, and documentation
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and succinctly
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly; a hallmark of a great engineer
- Experience with MySQL, Python, React, Redux, Redis, AWS, CI/CD and many other third-party API integrations

- Experience with the listed technologies (MySQL, Python, React/Redux, Redis, AWS, CI/CD) and third-party API integrations; willingness to learn others quickly
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000-$160,000 per year, depending on experience and scope (technical lead, software architecture, engineering management, etc.)
