- Collaborate with global teams to align project objectives and test protocols.
- Engage with Dover factories across APAC, NA and EMEA regions to understand expectations and ensure test strategies and execution plans are aligned with global manufacturing and deployment requirements.
- Lead the planning, definition, and delivery of functional test automation.
- Provide technical leadership and project ownership from concept to production deployment for end-of-line testers, leak testers, hydraulic benches, electrical safety rigs, and inspection systems.
- Coordinating, preparing, reviewing Statement of Work (SOW) with Global Dover Automation teams.
- Schedule meetings onsite, offsite, conferences with dover factories & supplier.
- Manage Project plannings, timeline, status, reports, timelines, prepare proposals, projects trackers, etc.
- Lead the planning, definition, and delivery of Inspection automation programs.
- Provide technical leadership and project ownership from concept to production deployment Inspection systems (Vision, laser, ultrasonic, etc.) for quality & improvements.
- Plan and supervise PoC evaluations for new functional testing approaches.
- Oversee the development and field trials of prototype test benches for validating new processes such as digital leak testing, high-pressure validation, electrical failure simulation, or sensor-based measurements.
- Oversee the execution of validation and testing for hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure robust test planning and execution for systems involving pressure decay, burst testing, flow verification, electrical continuity, insulation resistance, and force/displacement measurements.
- Identify, develop, and manage automation solution partners for building functional test equipment.
- Evaluate and coordinate with vendors specializing in fluid power, electrical panels, test rig fabrication, control systems, and metrology tools—ensuring reliable, safe, and cost-effective solutions.
- Review and approve supplier-developed test concepts, quotes, protocols and validation methods.
- Assess the adequacy of testing parameters such as test pressure, flow rates, leak limits, electrical load conditions, calibration tolerances, and functional checkpoints based on part requirements and industry benchmarks.
- Review the supplier concepts, quotes, prepare Proposals for Dover factories, coordinate with multiple departments for budget reviews & capex controls.
- Validate technical proposals, rig designs, control strategies, and sensor integrations.
- Conduct engineering reviews of hydraulic and pneumatic circuit layouts, electrical cabinet schematics, DAQ/PLC logic, sensor placements (pressure, flow, current, displacement), and interface controls (HMI/SCADA).
- Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoC), Design of Experiments (DoE).
- Perform Risk analysis, report preparing, risk mitigation solutions.
- Coordinate FAT/SAT of functional test systems with suppliers and Dover factories.
- Lead detailed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at supplier facilities to verify functionality, safety, electrical compliance, hydraulic/pneumatic integrity, and adherence to cycle time and accuracy benchmarks prior to shipment.
- Define FAT checklist covering PLC/DAQ program logic validation, calibration certification, emergency stop functionality, interlock testing, leak and pressure test accuracy, HMI sequences, and GR&R results.
- Plan and execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at Dover facilities, ensuring integration with factory utilities, compliance with ergonomic and floor layout constraints, and final verification of performance repeatability in production conditions.
- Document all FAT/SAT observations with pass/fail criteria, deviation logs, and corrective actions; involve cross-functional sign-off with engineering, safety, and plant quality teams before system handover.
- Ensure test systems meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Deliver solutions that meet critical-to-quality metrics such as pressure stability, leak thresholds, electrical insulation performance, cycle time targets, and traceability.
- Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards (e.g., CE, ISO 4413/4414, IEC 61010, UL, etc.).
- Monitor compliance throughout the test system lifecycle, including mechanical, fluid power, and electrical safety regulations applicable to industrial testing environments.
